We need help!

Currently seeking an entry-level Baker’s Assistant. The tricky thing is - we’re looking for very specific hours/days. We need help on Thursdays (hours are flexible - 6-8 hours within the time frame of 9am-7pm) and Saturdays (9am-5pm or 10am-6pm). Duties include a wide-range of responsibilities within our small but very busy little bakery, where all team members pitch in to do all tasks — from washing dishes to recipe prep to assisting customers. Thursday tasks will be mostly assisting our bake team, learning recipes and techniques to prepare foundation elements including cookie, pie, and tart doughs. Assisting to keep the bakery tidy will be a big part of the daily to-dos (dish-washing, floor sweeping, shop tidying) on both Thursday and Saturdays. On Saturdays, responsibilies will include front-of-house assistance - restocking the case, helping customers, keeping inventory of paper goods - as well as baking and baking assistant tasks. Attention to detail and hustle are the biggest requirements. We never stop moving and doing and we expect that from anyone joining our little team - there is no downtime; we work our butts off but the reward is so, so sweet. This is a terrific opportunity for anyone looking to get into baking and spend some time learning from a very talented and dedicated group of women.

Interested? Very important to us is that the hours work for your schedule and that you’ll be able to commit to showing up for every shift. If that all sounds good to you, please send an email to Kimberly at factorygirlbakes@gmail.com. As this is an entry-level position, a resume is not expected, but please do tell a little about yourself and why you’re interested, and how you think you’d be a good fit with the crew at FactoryGirl. Thank you!
